4 GB RAM on my MacBookPro... I would like to upgrade is but both slots are full.
My hardware reading skills are feeling a little shaky... Is the CanadaRAM or CricialRAM going to hurt anything?
This is what I have... Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Hmm...
- AppleStoreOnline - 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 = $420.00
http://store.apple.com/ca/memorymodel/ME_15_24_MBP_ICI5
OR
- CanadaRAM - Kingston KTA-MB1333/4Gx2 = $76.00
http://www.canadaram.com/Kingston/KTA-MB1066K2-8G.htm
OR
- Crucial - $52.00
http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=A9D8C4E7A5CA7304
8GB Kit (4GBx2)
DDR3 PC3-8500
CL=7
Unbuffered - NON-ECC • DDR3-1066 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64 • •
Part #: CT1226751
Is this as brain dead a choice as I think it is?
(420 / 76) = (552/100)
Clearly I should pay 552% more cause it's got an apple on it!
I always buy my RAM upgrades from http://www.macsales.com/
ReplyDeleteThey have a nice RAM selector, based on your MacBook Pro model, just to make sure you get the right stuff. I currently have 8gb from them in my MacBook Pro and all has been fine for months.
Thanks Dave,
ReplyDeleteThat works too. I wish I could upgrade past 8MB.
